A joint enterprise for operating passenger rail transport in Slovakia was established in 2011 with the LTE Logistik a Transport Slovakia s.r.o. Company, and was called the VIALTE s.r.o. Company. The GW Train Regio a.s. Company’s share in this company is 100%.

On 14 May 2012, the Office for Regulation of Rail Transport, Railway Regulation Department, Miletičova 19, 820 05 Bratislava, granted the VIALTE s.r.o. Company a LICENCE, file No. 1385/212/L, for the provision of railway transportation services.
On 24 September 2012, the Office for Regulation of Rail Transport, Railway Safety and State Supervision Department, Miletiova 19, 820 05 Bratislava, granted the VIALTE s.r.o. Company SAFETY CERTIFICATION, File No.: SK112012000.
The safety certification confirms approval of the railway enterprise's safety system, measures accepted by the railway enterprise for meeting specific requirements necessary for safe transportation within the railway network.
The VIALTE s.r.o. Company’s ambition is to become an operator of public passenger rail transportation as a public service obligation in Slovakia.
